The 2022-23 school year is in full swing!

  • This school year begins the 56th academic year for Lutheran Central School, in carrying out our mission which is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, teach children, and assist parents in training children to be witnessing Christians and productive citizens.

  • Currently, we have 129 students enrolled at Lutheran Central in grades K-8.  We also have 46 students enrolled in 3 and 4 year old preschool.

  • Our theme for this school year is “Rooted in Christ” and is based on Colossians 2:6-7 which says,  “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,  rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”

  • LCS is fully staffed with an excellent faculty of teachers and support staff.  We have one new member of our faculty and staff this year.  We welcome Miss Sophie Kries, who will be teaching 1st grade.  We are also pleased to announce that Mrs. Rothert will serve as our Resource teacher and Intervention Specialist.

  • This year we have a new focus on character education.  As we continue to grow deep roots in Christ we will also focus on developing good fruits. “Good Roots= Good Fruits”

This is based on Galatians 5:22-23 which says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

  • Over the summer Lutheran Central was able to complete several building improvement projects thanks to the generous funds raised from the LCS Auction last spring. These improvements include:

– All new gutters courtesy of Royalty Roofing

– French drain around the perimeter of the school courtesy of Craig Klinge

– New LED ligts in the school and gymnasium courtesy of B & H Electric

  • EANS (Indiana Emergency Assistance for Non Public Schools) monies were also used to directly benefit the students and improve the technology at Lutheran Central. These projects include:

– New Interactive Flat Panels in all classrooms

– New sound system in the gymnasium

– New math curriculum for grades K-8 (6 year subscription)

– New internet access points

– New classroom desks and tables

  • Lutheran Central would also like to thank everyone that attended our LC Sunday Joint Church Service and the 1st Annual Fun, Food, and Faith Festival. Lutheran Central School appreciates the support of each of the association congregations and all of the members that assist us training students to be “Rooted in Christ.”
